Men and women of culture and art are coming from Turkey and all over the world
to the "Village of Endless Gratitude" not to show off, but to be like a villager.
Not to bring culture, but to find shelter in the profound culture of Anatolia.
Not to be saviours, but to be saved.
Not to take, but to pay their debt.
They are coming to the rich and profound history of art, music, poetry and architecture.
To find themselves.

To renew and revive themselves with their talent and skills.
To be blessed with the earth, to be purified with the water, to become alive with the air and to learn with its men.
They are coming from a life narrowed by patterns and all kinds artificiality to trueness and verity.
They are coming to our 1000 year old adventure of creation and production and the land of empires that lasted for thousands of years in Endless Gratitude.

Dear Mehmet Taş
diken

I observe the development of your  "Sonsuz Sükran Köyü" (Village of Endless Gratitude) project in the community of Cavus /Hüyük /Konya very closely.

I believe that you have put your signature on a fantastic and exceptionally project. In the framework of the activities conducted within this significant  project, Cavus community will welcome and play host to a large number of national and international artists. It will revive, give life and bring our culture and traditions to our day.

I wish that the project of Sonsuz Sükran Köyü will be an example for other communities and villages. I congratulate you for your project and for the fact that you attend the place where you was born, wish you of success and send my regards and love to our citizens and valuable artists.

Rebellion, yes. But against what? Against psychological and social pressures put on local cultures around the world for at least 200 years. In a general and broad definition, culture  could also be expressed and defined all around the world with the words “difference” or “detail”.  But what is happening is a loss of local differences and rural cultures. In our world, local dialects, clothing, architecture and lifestyle is mostly judged as “B-class”. Our world and fast consumer culture is turning everything into fabrication and wiping out time-taking and costly details. This is at the same time a paradox.  Because art as a concept owes its existence to creativity and being different, creating differences and pioneer innovations.
From the local to the universal, it is our aim to create a new area for universal search on a ground  that also the Hitites, Romans, Seljukians and Ottomans belonged to and lived on, to make a new beginning together...

This is the universal aim.

I really support this project from the heart. I also see it as a return-project. It is a return done by expressing gratitude and bringing arts and culture to the village where I also was born. I have witnessed that this Project of my cousin and big brother Mehmet has caused the same feelings not only with me but everyone. In a spirit of voluntariness and without the expectation of benefit of any kind, everyone there is showing great effort. They support it from the heart. Ahmet Sever/Chief advisor to the President

This project in the village of Çavuş near Beyşehir bears a great opportunity to show us how successful and valuable the use of adobe, which is part of an old tradition of Anatolian Culture, can be. We should not that the village of Endless Gratitude is the first of its kind and a great experience.

The village of Endless Gratitude is a great invention. It draws in the artists of Istanbul. It draws in artists from Europe. The name and image of a country should be shaped with projects like this. I saw the works in progress and gave my word: I will do everything I can in support of it.
